Tis’ the Season to Celebrate with S.O.A.R.!
Our community engagement arm is an extension of the work we do, where our mission is also to support our youth and their families with the basic essentials necessary to thrive. Things such as food, clothing, school supplies, hygienic products, and other necessities should be made available to these families without the worry of cost or limited accessibility attached to them.
On December 21, 2024 S.O.A.R. will be hosting our 3rd Annual "Tis the Season - Community Gift Back Celebration” @ the Anthony Amalfe Community Center - 1268 Shaffer Ave, Roselle NJ.
This event allows us to give back to those in need during the holidays, while bringing community leaders together to meet, collaborate, and strengthen their alliances, fostering a supportive outlet for the residents (and youth) in, and around, New Jersey. This is also a great opportunity for members of the community to network and learn more about each other, as well as S.O.A.R.'s programs and services. With your help, we will be able to make this event a huge success!

"I saw the growth in her (CeCe) because she got out of her comfort zone. It’s a positive aspect, I believe, because kids that I encounter, they got see how other kids live. A lot of times in the U.S., our kids here they have the best (highspeed Wi-Fi and indoor AC) but seeing another kid in another country who may not have as much as they have, it opened her eyes to some things. I saw an immense growth and change in CeCe since she attended the Jamaica internship. She actually stayed out of her comfort zone, trying new things, also, got a bond with the other scholars. And I think it’s a great thing because she found othet students who are like minded with herS. They all worked together in their blind spots and strengths.”
