"I saw the growth in her (CeCe) because she got out of her comfort zone. It’s a positive aspect, I believe, because kids that I encounter, they got see how other kids live. A lot of times in the U.S., our kids here they have the best (highspeed Wi-Fi and indoor AC) but seeing another kid in another country who may not have as much as they have, it opened her eyes to some things. "

I saw an immense growth and change in CeCe since she attended the Jamaica internship. She actually stayed out of her comfort zone, trying new things, also, got a bond with the other scholars. And I think it’s a great thing because she found othet students who are like minded with herS. They all worked together in their blind spots and strengths.”

“This internship really changed him, before Jamaica, he never really spoke about going to college, he is more about going to military but after coming back from Jamaica the first thing he started doing was the college applications and going to college tours and so he really buckle down he started to mature more, he really started asking questions about what life is like in college campuses.”

During our 2024 Summer International Internship to Barbados, S.O.A.R. had the incredible opportunity to be featured on their syndicated morning show, Mornin’ Barbados! It was a memorable experience, allowing us to share our passion for hospitality and business and connect with the vibrant community. Being on air not only showcased our journey but also inspired us to continue our mission of empowering future leaders in the industry.
