MEET OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

  • Chef Aundre Blasingame, ENTR

BOARD MEMBER / CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

I was inspired to join S.O.A.R. because someone successful didn't give up, on me. I was asked to pay it forward one day. S.O.A.R. is one of my 'days' to pay it forward.

  • Leon McCamery, MBA

    BOARD MEMBER / VICE PRESIDENT

I believe S.O.A.R. will be a school, a platform, a training facility, and a place of hope where our students can dream big. We will teach our students that limitations are not an option. They will learn to develop strength to overcome obstacles in life, and build courage to face their fears.

  • Tiana Garner, MSTM

    BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR - HUMAN RESOURCES

I am honored to help S.O.A.R. succeed in, management, and building a strong foundation that will be long-lasting. S.O.A.R. holds a personal place having children of my own. It is important to provide them with a place that will help them grow, and feel inspired as well as be an inspiration. I'm glad to be part of what will be an iconic education platform for kids to have an option to grow in a field with promising rewards.

  • LaToya Dawkins, M.Ed.

    BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR-CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN (VB&E)

As an educator, I believe wholeheartedly in S.O.A.R.’s mission and vision to provide our students with hands-on and real life experiences. S.O.A.R.’s unique approach to learning is sure to provide each student with the tools, skills and knowledge they need to gain lifelong personal and professional growth. As a board member, I hope to support our students in reaching their goals, breaking barriers, and reaching success over and beyond their reality.

  • Chasidy Kennedy, M.S., CCC-SLP

    BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR-CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN (VH&T)

Having the opportunity to inspire tomorrow's leaders is what motivated me to join the board of directors for S.O.A.R. I am excited to be a part of a groundbreaking organization that exposes our youth to various career paths and helps them establish a strong academic foundation. Leading by example and providing our students with the support and guidance required for academic success helps S.O.A.R. stand out from other programs. S.O.A.R. is an organization like no other, and I look forward to witnessing and being a part of all future accomplishments.

  • JR Dawkins, MBA

    BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR-BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY (VB&E)

My inspiration to join S.O.A.R. lies within the opportunity to invest in underrepresented youth. In America the education system is fragmented in a way that can put some kids at an unfair disadvantage. We are here to make sure children get the best preparation for their future possible, regardless of their economic status.

  • Crystal Morgan, LPN, PCC

    BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR - STRATEGIC PLANNING

My journey with S.O.A.R. is about making a meaningful impact. It is about inspiring the next generation to reach their full potential and ensuring they have the support and opportunities to do so. Together, we are building a future where the youth from our communities lead with confidence, resilience, and a profound sense of purpose.

  • Isabel Chan

    BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

I was introduced to S.O.A.R. as the parent of a scholar in 2021. During the pandemic lockdowns, my young teen's socioemotional growth needed to be supplemented and continue at a healthy pace. S.O.A.R.'s programs provided that, among many other skills. Rosie's leadership and amazing energy continue to draw us both, like a bee to its honey. Being selected as a board member is a great honor to be part of her evolving vision.

  • Naomi Garner

    SR. INTERN/AMBASSADOR

While just entering her junior year of high school, Naomi joined S.O.A.R. as an intern providing administrative support to the Board of Directors. She has been with the organization ever since. Working with S.O.A.R. has not only provided a wealth of learning opportunities but has also been a great work experience for Naomi. She wholeheartedly believes in the goal they are trying to reach, to give high school students an opportunity to learn more about Business, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Travel, and Financial Management guidance.
